Scott Davis - Professional: Scott turned a Professional Golfer in 2006 with playing success the same year winning twice and being crowned the 2006 Trainee Champion of Champions. As a Trainee Professional Scott won another six times over the next two years in both pro-ams and trainee matches. 2009 was Scott's most consistant year without winning. From 12 starts in the 2009 NSW Mazda Pro-AM series Scott had ten top ten finishes including 3 runner-ups. Scott loves the game and he says that the passion for the game transfers to his results. The most important thing to Scott when it comes to his coaching is he wants the customer to feel that they have enjoyed the whole experience. Scott has a lot of knowledge of the short game and has a passion for excellence when it comes to teaching around the greens. His Philosphy: A missed green is not a certain bogey but an opportunity to get up and down. |

Justin Martin - Trainee Professional: Justin has been an avid golfer for approximately 10 years and has played off a single figure handicap for 9 of them. He started playing golf in Muswellbrook where he learnt to play the game from his friend and professional golfer Shane Cochrine. Justin's first career was as a chef, a job that didn't enable him to practice as much as he would have liked, and it wasn't until he began his university degree to become a teacher that his golf really began to improve. While completing his degree Justin lowered his handicap to scratch and managed to earn a place on Waratah's winning 'A' Grade Pennant team. He played 2 seasons and reserved for 1 and during this time he lost only 1 match. Justin has also recently won the prestigious 2011 Easter Cup, a 36 hole event held annually at Waratah Golf Club, shooting a 2 round total of 138 (4 under par) winning by 3 strokes. Justin has since completed his university degree and is a qualified high school teacher but his passion for golf has led him in yet another direction. Justin was approached by Scott Davis (head professional at Waratah) in late 2010 and was asked if he would like to commence a traineeship in 2011, an offer that Justin accepted whole heartedly. Justin looks forward to the new challenges that face him in his new chosen career and cannot think of a better club to be at while going through this process. |

Grant has also won a number of tournaments and won the Newcastle District Vardon Trophy in 2008. He is currently a member of the Newcastle District Team as well. Grant has loved the game his whole life and looks forward to being a member of our Proshp team. |
