PATIOWORLD W E Alexander Amateur Open 1st - 2nd September 2012

The Patioworld W E Alexander Open, a 36 Hole Event with "Special Vardon Status", will be held over two days from Saturday 1st September to Sunday 2nd September, 2012, with the Annual Sponsor's Ambrose event scheduled for the preceding Friday, the 31st August 2012.

This event was first conducted as a Pro Am in 1952 and is named after Mr Alexander, President of our club from 1927 to 1951. The event has had many of Australia's outstanding golfers on its winning list including Peter O'Malley, Lucas Parsons, Len Woodward, Leigh McKechnie, Nathan Green and Colin Johnston, who has been the winner eight times.

More recent champions have been Aaron Price (2000), Chris Campbell (2001), Lucas Bates (2002), Adam McKenzie (2003), Mitchell Brown (2004), Rohan Blizzard (2005 and 2006), Grant Scott (2007), Brendan Smith (2008-2010) and Mark Ellison (2011).

On behalf of the Board of Directors and the Members of Waratah we extend to you an invitation to participate in both events: the Patioworld WE Alexander Amateur Open and the Charity day.

To make entry to our Tournament as easy as possible for all concerned we have made available all the Tournament information available on line.

The current forms are for the 2011 Event. The 2012 forms will be made available closer to the Event. The 2011 forms have been left attached to give prospective players an idea of the Event playing conditions etc.

 

The general information file provides Tournament Dates plus other Tournament information.

The W E Alexander Information sheet is for information regarding, you the competitor. If you are interested in entering the Tournament but are not able to commit to playing yet please fill in this form and return it to Waratah Golf Club so that we may be better able to plan our Tournament. If you are able to commit to playing please fill out this form along with your entry form return it to Waratah Golf Club.

The W E Alexander Entry Form is the form that each competitor must fill in and return to Waratah Golf Club in order to enter the Tournament. The closing date for entries is Thursday 23rd of August 2012 although late entries may be accepted if playing numbers permit.
