Membership Types

Waratah Golf Club offers a variety of membership types which are available to both men and women. Each catergory of membership has its own definition with in the Constitution of the Club. A copy of the Constitution is available from the office.

A summary of membership types is listed below:

Membership Category
Playing Rights and/or Eligibility Criteria
7 Day
These members have the right to play golf seven days a week unless otherwise determined by the Board
6 Day
These members have the right to play golf from Sunday to Friday inclusive unless otherwise determined by the Board
5 Day
These members have the right to play golf from Monday to Friday inclusive unless otherwise determined by the Board
Senior 7 Day(5)
Same as 7 Day Members (5)Certain criteria apply to be eligible to qualify for Senior 7, 6 and 5 day membership.
Senior 6 Day(5)
Same as 6 Day Members (5)Certain criteria apply to be eligible to qualify for Senior 7, 6 and 5 day membership.
Senior 5 Day(5)
Same as 5 Day Members (5)Certain criteria apply to be eligible to qualify for Senior 7, 6 and 5 day membership.
Country(1)
Have the same playing rights as the equivalent membership of their home club. (1)Please ask our office staff for the criteria that must be met to be eligible to be a Country Member
Student(2)
Persons who are aged 18 years to 25 years and are full time students and have same rights as 7 Day Members (2)Proof of Student status required
Junior(3)
Persons who are aged up to 18 years who are elected as Junior Members or transferred by the Board from Cadet Membership and have same rights as 7 Day Members (3)Copy of Birth Certificate must be attached with this Application
Cadet(4)
Persons aged under 14 years who are elected as Cadet members by the Board (4)Copy of Birth Certificate must be attached with this Application
Clergy
Persons who are members of the Clergy who are elected as Clergy Members
Sunday
Persons who have attained the age of 18 years and who are elected as Sunday members by the Board. These members have the right to play on Sunday only
Social
Persons who attained the age of 18 years and who wish to be a Social member of the Club. These members have no playing rights.

* Membership Fees
  • THE FULL AMOUNT OF THE MEMBERSHIP FEE MUST BE PAID UPON APPLICATION. ALL FEES INCLUDE GST.
  • FEES ARE REDUCED PRO-RATA DURING THE FINANCIAL YEAR.
  • YOU MAY PAY BY BANKCARD, MASTERCARD, VISACARD, EFTPOS OR CHEQUE (SUBJECT TO CLEARANCE).
  • DIRECT DEBT FACILITIES ARE AVAILABLE. PLEASE ENQUIRE AT THE OFFICE FOR FURTHER INFORMATION. THE CLUB RESERVES THE RIGHT TO RECOVER THE FULL YEAR’S FEES SHOULD YOU DECIDED TO CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP BEFORE YOU HAVE COMPLETED YOUR FIRST YEAR OF MEMBERSHIP.
  • CERTAIN CRITERIA APPLY TO BE ELIGIBLE TO QUALIFY FOR SENIOR 7, 6 AND 5 DAY MEMBERSHIP. PLEASE ENQUIRE AT THE OFFICE FOR FURTHER INFORMATION

Social Play may be played on all days except during various competition days and times. Please check with either the office or the Pro Shop for availability.

 

To obtain handicap 3 cards for men and 3 cards for ladies are required to be submitted to allow the Club to handicap you correctly.
