Dress Rules

There should be no need for the Committee to exercise any kind of supervision over the dress of Members or Visitors. It should be left to the good taste of Members and Visitors always to appear well dressed and this is so in the large majority of cases.

Some Members and Visitors have, however, appeared in attire which is not considered appropriate by other Members and Visitors, and this has been the subject of complaint.

For this reason it is indicated that the following item of dress are not considered suitable: Shirts worn outside trousers, thongs, abbreviated shorts, football socks, shorts of any type unless with long socks pulled up to just below the knee or white sport socks.

Spiked shoes maybe worn in the Clubhouse for brief periods of time, Soft spikes are fine.
